Roberto Martin & Julienne Celina

Celina and Martin hail from diverse backgrounds, she being the youngest and only daughter of an architect and professor, and he, the oldest son of an artist and a banking clerk.

Both moved abroad at age 11, Celina to Singapore and Martin to Canada. They shared a strong academic drive; Celina aspired to global leadership roles while Martin was drawn to animation, influenced by his father's work with Disney.

Their paths crossed at an international Youth for Christ conference in 2017, evolving from friendship to deep emotional connection. Although both considered other paths, their bond with each other became undeniable.

They navigated long-distance challenges, career pursuits, and the obstacles posed by the pandemic. A poignant moment came when Celina's prayer for assurance about their relationship culminated on the Feast of St. Martin of Tours, Martin's namesake and patron, which serendipitously became their chosen wedding date.
